.... blarg grrrr... thanx sist. 8 unusual things about me...

1. I have an extra rib.... above my shoulder in the back. apparently that means I am a man.

2. I am extremely sensitive to epinephrine ... which is in those lovely shots they like to hand out at the dentist when you get fillings... so I end up shaking and freezing cold while they are trying to fill my teeth and it makes me have to piss every few minutes. not pleasant.

3. I use both sides of my brain at once. some things I am left handed, some things right..... and I have to occupy one side while trying to tap into the other.... I guess my brain doesnt want me to pick favorites.

4. I am very prone to getting shocks from any car door I touch... annoying as hell. ... but I can also detect when I will be getting a nice lil zap from nearby lightening as well.

5. I collect rocks from every where I go... drive-ins ... beaches.... where ever. also any cicada husks I find...

6. I can growl/sing quite well.... just dont ask me to do it... you have to catch me at it. I dont perform on demand.

7. FIRE!!! me likey the FIRE!!!!

8. I have a spot in the back of my throat that if I get a piece of pepper on it while eating... it causes me to first cough like crazy then crazy wild bout of sneezing.... mmmmmmmmm tears and snot whilst eating..

m'k there.. I tag no one.

Obviously, with my lack of gallery updates... I have been a slacker.... but I think I have taken care of that. For those that dont know, my art desk used to be in the livingroom. That worked for awhile since the kids hung out in my room for the only tv source... so I had plenty of alone time at the desk. Well... a few months back the household gained another tv source that was NOT in my room... so I reclaimed my room. While thats all fine and dandy... my art desk was now in the epi-center of all teenaged activity. Yup... no work was getting done. As of a week ago, my desk is now in my room, allowing me to work without activity goin on around me. Now the piece that I started a couple months ago, that sat basically untouched, is now near completion. YAY ME! Apparently not only do I need distractions such as very loud music and sometimes a muted tv... I also need to be in control of such distractions. Kids... or people in general really... get kind of pissed off if you are ignoring them completely while stuck in gaagaa land attacking paper... tvs/stereos , unlike people, will never want my attention... so it allows me to work. It made me curious tho.... are there other artists that need weird settings or requirements to work?

not really noteworthy...

... but eh... deal with it. I finished the self portrait yesterday... kind of glad to get it off my desk finally. Been working on it here and there for almost two months *sigh*. I do not have "normal" work habits when it comes to art... or anything else for that matter. Some pieces I can finish right away... then others take me awhile. If I dont feel the need to attack the papyrus... then I dont. With three children and a mess load of critters, my job as mom/housekeeper cuts into my art .....both time wise and motive wise. I have to feel the energy in otherwords. My kids could tell you what a crazy lunatic I look like when I am working on something. I rarely sit still at the desk, shit... I rarely sit period. So if I am feeling drained I dont work on anything cuz working on art physically drains me. I pace the house while listening to loud LOUD LOUD heavy metal while frequently uttering growls along to the music and along my pace route I make a few swipes at the art desk..... so yea.... weird... I know. Its hard enough to force myself to work on ONE thing at a time I am not even going to try to force myself to behave in the process.... although there are times that I work simulatneously on two or three different things at once too.... I have learned I tend not to finish when I work that way. Thinking on it now, maybe thats why I didnt finish the self portrait in a timely manner..... maybe I need to stage a full blow out art attack?! >:)

grrr.
